As you may already know, on the new version of Minecraft 1.19.1, Mojang is implementing a new Player Report Tool (PRT for short). This PRT can be used to report "bad behavior" by any player on any server, including private and realms servers. It's unsure if non-premium ("hacked") users can also send reports.
While the intentions of this tool seem to be good, it can also affect in bad ways, such as:
Someone can report you because they are just mad at you
Someone can report out-of-context conversations, causing a ban for you
Someone can report you because they are "trolling" you
Someone can report you just because they don't like swear words
While their FAQ says that they "will not ban players just for swearing or profanity." it says that they will ban "hate speech, bullying, harassing, sexual solicitation, or threatening others." Which, as you may know, this type of speech may happen if you are playing with very close friends.
While it is unclear, it is possible that if you get reported. They can still ban your IP and or get you a "Hardware Ban", which will be worse since you will need to change your IP and in the worst case, change components of your PC to change your hardware ID
According to Mojang, the report will be reviewed by a human, and no action will be taken based on a computer decision, however, depending on the number of reports Mojang gets, this may change to a more automatized way.
Once you get banned, you are not able to access any type of online games on Minecraft, it is unclear at this point if this also affects other games created by Mojang (Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft legends, etc) or any game that uses Microsoft/Xbox based servers (Multiplayer on any gamepass game, for example)
No, you will need to create a completely new Microsoft account and purchase the game again to play.
Once Teken and Friends! gets updated to the last version, a custom plugin will be installed to prevent the PRT to work, making sure that you are not allowed to report any text that is sent in chat.
In simple words, when you send a text on chat, normally it will be signed with a unique ID that is only visible for Mojang, this plugin removes this signature from the text and makes it anonymous. Making it impossible to track the player who sends the message.
